🗜️Preventative Work

TLDR; minimize reactive maintenance work by utilizing preventative maintenance.

  1. Open the MaintainX app and make sure you are logged in

  2. Go to the work orders tab to view all open work orders

    • You can filter the view to only see preventative maintenance tickets if you want

  3. Update the status of the work order as you plan your week

    • Open - the work order has not been looked at yet and needs to be assigned/scheduled a due date

    • On Hold - ticket has been looked at but not worked on yet. Could be pending parts/tools or rainy day, etc.

    • In Progress - start the timer on the work order as you begin working to keep track of the labor cost per work order.

      • The status can be changed back and forth between "On Hold" and "In Progress" if needed.

  4. Check off the items on the list as you do them

  5. Add parts cost if needed

  6. Add other misc costs if needed (receipts from Home Depot/etc)

  7. Leave comments on the work order and tag relevant parties if needed

  8. Mark as Done when the work is completed
