Clean View Auto Wash 7 Day Cleaning List

General Cleaning Requirements for 7 day Cleaning day process

  • Employees must stay their full scheduled shift to adequately Clean the day's assignment. If the team finishes early then it's up to the manager's discretion on what's worked on next.

  • Even if there is only a short period of time left in the shift you must continue to work until your scheduled shift is over. For example, if it's 9:20pm and there are 10 more minutes left, then you need to use the 10 minutes to clean until it's time to clock out.

  • (preping-sites) If you are working on a cleaning assignment and there are 3 cars or less then it's not necessary to leave your cleaning assignment to assist with prepping. 3 cars or less is manageable by one employee.

  • If the tunnel gun or cleaning items are broken, then the expectation is to improvise as needed to still complete the task. (exp. Tunnel gun breaks; fill a bucket with dawn soap and use sponges and fill buckets of water to rinse the soap. )

  • Approved breaks are the only times when there is down time.

  • When the item you're cleaning isn't possible to clean while cars are running, there's two things you can do.

  1. Clean it in between cars which can be 3-10 minutes at a time if the wash is busy that day. If you're in the tunnel communicate with your coworker to announce when a vehicle is coming so you move away to a safe position. Communication must be back and forth.

  2. Find items that you can clean while the wash is actively running cars. Find parts of the walls to clean, detail clean the vacuum area, scan the lot for debris, powerwash the parking lot etc. If you cannot think of something to clean check in with your manager.

Cleaning the Pit

  • The pit must be scheduled to clean one day a month.

Examples:

  1. One Sunday night with the GM present.

  2. One day before the wash opens during the week.

  • On snow or rainy days when we shut down we prioritize cleaning the pit before everything else.

  • If the pit is already dug out then take the grates off and clean them. After the grates are cleaned, spray the sprockets and the chain. Take any debris out of the pit/chain. This is a requirement before working on anything else on snow or rainy days that we shut down.
